Joined the club midway through the 2006/07 campaign from Newcastle Benfield after impressing against City in an FA Cup
tie earlier that season. He scored on his debut in a 4-0 win at Altrincham in February 2007.
He had a spell on loan with Barrow last term and on his return went onto finish top scorer with 19 League and Cup goals helping the club reach Wembley in the FA Trophy and was
capped for England ‘C’.
At the start of this campaign including substitute appearances he had played in 106 games for City and scored 34 goals.
