Martyn started his career at Glasshoughton and was signed by City
from Frickley Athletic in August 2006 for a fee. He quickly established
himself in the senior side and helped the club reach the play offs
in his first season.
Played in every game during the 2007/08
season and finished joint top scorer with 17 goals.
Equally at home on either flank he is also effective in the centre
of midfield and has played as a striker on occasions.
He made over 100 senior appearances for the club, before leaving to
join Scunthorpe Utd.
