City's New Commercial Manager

York City Football Club announces the appointment of Ross Potter as City’s new commercial manager in succession to Elliot Stroud who is joining the Homeless World Cup Organisation to further develop his career in Football.

Ross has considerable local commercial experience in marketing and sales, together with connections within the Football Industry. He has an important brief to enhance customer service for York City’s sponsors, supporters and commercial partners, whilst increasing revenue streams for the club.

Ross is 32 years of age, lives in York and is a keen supporter and fan of the Football Club.

City’s new commercial manager, Ross Potter said, “I’m delighted to be joining York City as the club’s new commercial manager. It’s going to be a great challenge, and as a York City supporter, I feel very excited about this new opportunity. I’m looking forward to getting to know supporters and sponsors better in the coming weeks and working closely with business development director, Rob McGill, to further enhance the club’s commercial strategy.”

Business development director, Rob McGill said, “We are very pleased to welcome Ross Potter to York City. He was a very strong candidate for the role and I believe he will be a great asset to the club’s commercial operations. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Elliot Stroud for his efforts over the past three years and we all wish him the very best for his future career in the Football Industry.”
