50/50 Cash Draw / Recent Results

Middlesbrough (NRSC Final) 19/03/08

Assuming one ticket was bought per person, over 60% of the crowd bought a ticket at this game. If that rate of sale was repeated at an average 1st team game, the cash prize would be almost £700!

The cash prize at this game was £65, which is the highest for a reserve game this season. Middlesbrough's assistant manager, Malcolm Crosby, drew the winning ticket, 14811, which had been bought by Len Scott of Leyburn. Len is the Chairman of the North Riding County Football Association.

The consolation prize of several bags of snacks from Country Products was won by Shirley Pilmoor of London with ticket 15462.

Northwich Victoria 25/03/08

City's Wembley hero Wayne Hall made a popular return to Bootham Crescent and helped to ease the pain of a disappointing result for one supporter.

Mick Mackley of Rawcliffe picked up the cash prize of £175, when Wayne pulled out ticket number 16502. Unfortunately, the winners of the consolation prizes didn't come forward to claim their prizes. The pair of weekly membership passes for Ebor Fitness was won by ticket 15577 and the Domino's Pizza and Coke was won by ticket 15574. If you are the holder of ticket 15577, please bring it along to the 50/50 office, at one of the remaining first team home games, to claim your prize.

Incidentally, during his visit, Wayne Hall kindly signed several unsold copies of his testimonial brochure. If you would like a signed copy of this piece of YorkCity history, please visit the 50/50 office on matchday. In return for a small donation (at least £1) towards the costs of the football club's youth team, you can take a copy.
