Appointed manager in November 2008 following the dismissal of Colin Walker.
Martin started his career with Southampton in the early 1980’s and went on to play for Aldershot, Oxford and Port Vale netting 155 goals in 533 Football League games.
On finishing his playing days he was youth team coach and the manager at Vale Park from 2004 to 2007, before moving to York he had a spell as assistant boss at Wrexham.
