1993/94 Play-Offs |

After reaching the Play-Offs the previous campaign, City qualified
for the Second Divison play-offs and met Stockport County in
the first leg at Bootham Crescent on 15th May 1994. In a thrilling
game watched by 8,744, the sides fought out a goalless draw
and County went on to win the second leg at Edgeley Park thanks
to a late goal netted by Chris Beaumont.
The City side tha played in both these games was: Kiely, McMillian,
Hall, Swann, Tutill, Stancliffe, McCarthy, Bushell, Canham,
Barnes, Blackstone. In the first leg Steve Cooper came on for
Ian Blackstone and at Stockport Nigel Pepper replaced Jon McCarthy.
County went down 2-1 to Burnley in the final.
